Day by day
Days 1–2
Arusha
Arrival and a private flight briefing for the plains.
Days 3–5
Migration camp
Your first camp, positioned for the herds' expected location in your month of travel.
Days 6–9
Second position
A move deeper into the ecosystem — north for crossings, south for the calving plains.
Days 10–11
Return
A final morning on the plains and the flight back to Arusha or straight to Zanzibar.
Where you stay
Mobile tented camps that relocate seasonally, chosen for their proximity to the herds and their small size.
Best time to travel
January to March for calving; July to October for the northern river crossings.
